The handbook
How the gallery works.
CatPad is a launchpad on Solana where every coin is a cat. Coins start on a Raydium LaunchLab bonding curve and move into their own Raydium pool once the curve sells out. This is everything that happens along the way, and what it costs.
Only cats
Every picture is checked before anything touches the chain, and a coin can only be created from a picture that passed. Two vision models look at it. An animal classifier recognises photos of cats and turns away other animals, and it can’t be talked into a cat by the word “cat” written on a dog. A scene reader handles everything else, from drawings and pixel art to memes, and has to be at least 70% sure.
Welcome
House cats in any form: photos, paintings, cartoons, pixel art, 3D, memes, cats in hats. Lynxes, bobcats, servals and other small wild cats.
Turned away
Dogs, foxes and every other animal. Lions, tigers and the other big cats. People in cat ears, catgirls, mascots and logos.
Pictures can be PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 5 MB. For an animation, the first, middle and last frames all have to pass. Location and camera data is stripped before the picture is stored.
Launching a coin
- 1Bring your cat. Drop in a picture and the cat check runs on the spot.
- 2Name it. A name of up to 32 characters and a ticker of up to 10. Both are written on chain for good.
- 3Pair it. Choose what buyers pay with.
- 4Choose the curve. Where the price starts and where the coin graduates to Raydium.
- 5Buy first, if you like. An optional first buy at the curve's lowest price, in the same transaction, so nobody gets in before you.
- 6Sign. Your wallet signs one transaction. It costs about 0.02 SOL in Solana rent, plus the first buy and the coin's storage on Arweave.
Every coin has a supply of 1 billion tokens with 6 decimals, nothing held back and nothing vested. Coins sell on the curve until the raise target is met, and the rest goes into the Raydium pool at graduation.
Curves
A bonding curve is the coin’s first market: every buy raises the price and every sell lowers it. The curve fixes where the price starts and where it ends, and it ends at exactly the price the Raydium pool opens at.
Classic
$5k → $75k
Deep
$20k → $100k
Custom
$1–$1M start
Market caps are in dollars and turned into the quote token’s amounts when the coin is created. Classic starts small at $5k. Deep starts at $20k with about five times the liquidity behind the price, so an early buy moves it far less: on Deep a $1k buy lifts the price about 8%, on Classic about 40%. A custom curve can start anywhere from $1 to $1M and graduate at 1.5× to 30× its starting market cap.
What it trades against
The quote token is what buyers pay with, and what the coin is paired with in its Raydium pool. On this network: SOL, USDC.
Fees
Fees are taken by the LaunchLab and Raydium programs themselves, on every trade wherever it’s made, on CatPad or anywhere else. On the curve a trade costs 1% in all.

Storage
A coin’s picture and metadata are uploaded to Arweave before the coin exists, so CatPad pays for the upload first. The launch transaction pays it back: whatever Arweave charges for those bytes, usually a fraction of a cent.
If someone uploads a cat and never signs the launch, their storage is already paid for and can’t be taken back. The next launch covers it, at most 0.005 SOL; anything beyond that waits for the launch after.
Graduation
When the last token on the curve is bought, the curve closes and Raydium’s migration bot moves the coin into a Raydium CPMM pool, usually within seconds. Nobody else can trigger it, and nothing is left to chance: the pool opens at the price the curve ended at.
The pool’s liquidity tokens are 90% burned, so that liquidity can never be pulled, and 10% locked to CatPad, which earns their trading fees but can never withdraw the liquidity. The creator is recorded as the pool’s creator and keeps earning a creator fee on every trade. After graduation, a coin’s page links to its pool; trade it on Raydium or any Solana exchange.
Creator earnings
Creator fees from the curve collect in a creator vault per quote token, covering all of a creator’s coins. After graduation the pool holds the creator’s fees until they’re collected.
Connect the wallet you launched with and the Earnings page shows what’s waiting. One click collects all of it, paid to your wallet, SOL as plain SOL. Nobody else can collect a creator’s fees.
What can't change
The picture and the coin’s metadata are stored on Arweave, a network built to keep data for good, before the coin is created, and the coin points at them from its first block. The token’s metadata is immutable, and the mint and freeze authorities are revoked at launch.
So nobody, CatPad included, can swap the picture after the cat check, rename the coin, print more tokens or freeze anyone’s wallet. The CatPad site could disappear and every coin would still show its cat.
Before you buy
Memecoins are a game of chance. Most never graduate, and a coin can lose almost all of its value in minutes. Only spend what you’re happy to lose.
The cat check is about the picture, not the coin: it says nothing about who launched it or what they’ll do. Before buying, check the mint address on the coin’s page, and how much of the supply the creator bought at launch.
